These two abandoned windmills are situated just outside Antimachia, right after the roundabout next to the main road heading towards Kos Town. They are built on a plateau overlooking the plain below and one of them in actually inside a rather vast sheep pen and you will need to get permission from the sheepherder to actually visit it from up close. The one outside the “sheep pen” has a large part of its wooden mechanism still intact and in place.
These two abandoned windmills are those of Filippis (του Φιλιππή) and Giakalis (του Γιακαλή), that you encounter in this order as you approach Antimachia from Kos. Indeed, in the past, just before arriving to Antimachia, travellers would pass by two mills, the mill of Fourka (της Φούρκας), which is nowadays located in the military camp 543, and the mill of Flippis. After this narrow pass, they would enter a clearing where the mill of Giakalis was located, before arriving to the roundabout that stands today at the entrance of the village.
