In this post I have chosen to present a few monuments and places of lesser importance that are still well worth the visit. There are off the beaten track places that are sometimes difficult to access, smaller monuments that are nevertheless an important part of the local history, exceptional natural wonders that you might not expect to find on a Greek island.
This is a list that will interest those who have already visited the main attractions of the island and are willing to go one step further and see something a little different. Some places might not be that easy to find as they might not be easily accessible or might not be widely known by the locals. I have pinned them on the map included in the relevant posts and i have also written some specific directions in some of them. Hopefully this will get you there without too much of a hassle. I will be reassessing this post on a regular basis trying to make the suggestions as relevant as possible for those seeking something off the beaten track. Last but not least I would like to point out that some of the places are to be visited from November to May such as the streams, as the flowing water and the lush greenery are what make the experience invaluable.
