The Italian era Kindergarten is the building known as the Asilo, built as a kindergarten in 1932, just one year before the earthquake, according to the designs by Armando Bernabiti. Both the typology of the floor plan and the structure of its shapes remind rationalist lines (modern movement in Italy), but they are ornamented with elements making reference to the past, such as arches and flares in the parapet of the terrace (eclecticism). The complex now houses the 3rd Primary School of the city.
